ROLLYO CUSTOM SEARCH ENGINE
I created my own personal search engine site for crockpot recipes. I'm always trying to find recipes that I can put in the crockpot in the morning and then come home to a prepared meal waiting for me! By adding all the different crockpot recipes in Rollyo, I only have to type in my searh request once to get many new recipes! Great Idea!!! http://rollyo.com/profile.html?from=reg

http://upcoming.yahoo.com/ UPCOMING EVENTS Love this sight! I'm always looking for fun and inexpensive events in our area that we could attend with our family and friends. I came across events that we have done previously, like the Bluegrass Festival in Gettysburg. I invited several couples who like the same music to join us for this event. Then I found a comedy show close by...The Smother Brothers! My husband enjoys comedy and I used to watch them when I was a little girl, so now I'm going to check out getting tickets for us!

#8 & #9 RSS

I set up RSS feeds in my igoogle account under the Google Reader. I must say this was the most frustrating application of the Web 2.0 class so far. I love my igoogle page, but it takes a terribly long time to load and as I was working with the Google Reader, if I made a mistake, or had to go back, it took so much time. I added the Shifted Librarian to my RSS feed, and also the Library Comics listed on the Web 2.0 page. I then went to Google's choices and found many that I liked in cooking, exercise, news, and entertainment. So many that when I returned to the igoogle page there were 60 feeds waiting for me to read! Now this may become more of a chore than a pleasure! I'm the type of person who has to clean out her Outlook Inbox, delete photos off my camera as soon as they are downloaded, etc. I don't like to feel like I'm not keeping up with things. So, I don't know if I will like this RSS feed. I wanted to add our local newspaper, who had the icon for an RSS feed, but the Google Reader said it wasn't one. So, after trying that for several attempts, I was frustrated. This is my first day of Easter vacation and I've spent too much of it sitting in front of the computer. Time to move on to something else!

#s 5, 6, & 7

I created a Flickr account and uploaded some pictures from my last birthday. It was easy to do. Then I uploaded a "mash" item by created my own trading card. I decided to create my trading card by focusing on the theme of camping. My husband and I purchased a used RV two years ago and have enjoyed exploring state parks with our family and friends. Although the Flickr account was easy, I think I still prefer my Snapfish and Shutterfly accounts for loading my pictures. With Flickr, it only allowed me to upload one picture at a time and I prefer Snapfish and Shutterfly's uploading capabilities better. http://www.flickr.com/
